Ludovico Rella
Ludovico Rella is Assistant Professor at the Department of Geography, and he works in the Synthetic Worlds Thematic Pathway. His research explores digital twins, and the geographies, ecologies and political economies of AI’s infrastructural materiality. He has published in journals including Political Geography, Social Studies of Science, and Big Data & Society, and he has a monograph forthcoming with Manchester University Press, building on his PhD dissertation, which was awarded the Financial Geographies Doctoral Dissertation Prize in 2021. Ludovico serves as Editor for Digital Geography and Society and Backchannels – Blog of the 4S and chairs Durham’s Digital Geographies Thematic Group.
