LCAL Clusters
LCAL Clusters
The four LCAL clusters provide the cross-cutting relays across the Centre’s research, focusing on difficult problems that are present across the scholarly field of algorithmic life and in a broader society: decisions, data, publics, and forms of life.
-
- Decisions: our research examines how algorithmic life is changing the character of decisions through the hybrid knowledges of humans and algorithms.
-
- Data: our research advances new understandings of what data is and does in a world where human lives and life-chances are increasingly shaped by the data generated and analysed by algorithms.
-
- Publics: our research investigates the political and public tensions and resistances that characterise contemporary algorithmic life.
-
- Forms of Life: our research addresses how literary, media, and scientific practices are giving rise to novel algorithmic forms-of-life.
